We will demonstrate the compassion of Jesus Christ in valuing the life of each person by providing individualized care and residential services for adults with severe physical and mental impairments.
Our Care
We believe each person is created by God with purpose and value. Therefore, each person's care is tailored to his or her unique abilities with activities that are meaningful to the individual. With a staff to resident ratio of 1-to-2, we strive to support each person as they work to reach their full potential.
Family involvement is a big part of Harbor House. Founded by families of adults with severe impairments, we know that family members are the best advocates for any individual. We work hard to maintain an atmosphere where family is valued and welcome all the time. Family members meet on a regular basis to fellowship with each other and help with various tasks in the home.
Our Homes
Our homes are like no others in the area. Designed by families and caregivers of adults with severe mental and physical impairments, our homes are specifically created to provide maximum independence and safety. Every home is completely accessible and barrier-free. Special attention has been paid to health and safety with individual climate control in each room, two-hour firewalls separating living and sleeping quarters, in-floor heating, and many other features. Each resident has a private room, decorated individually to represent each person's unique interests and aspirations.
